L. is a vector that cause Dengue
Hemorrhagic Fever disease. Most of People used chemical insecticides to control
the mosquito which have negative impacts, it cause resistance vector, so the experts
look for another alternative with using biological control such as ethanol
extract granules papaya seeds. Papaya seeds have larvasidal activity because it
produces secondary metabolites like alkaloids and saponins. Serial concentrations of ethanol extract of
papaya seed granules used in this study was 5 ppm, 10 ppm, 100 ppm, 1000 ppm,
and 3000 ppm and performed 3 replications. Each treatment used 20 test larvae. Larva used as a test is the final
larval instar III and early IV. the data obtained by the Aedes aegypti larvae
mortality at 12 hours, 24 hours, 36 hours, and 48 hours. Data analysis using
probit analysis. Based on the research and analysis of the data obtained it can
be concluded LC50 24 hours and 48 hours was 15.572
ppm and 37.772 ppm. LC90 24 hours and 48 hours was 3.109 ppm and 9.970 ppm. LT50 and LT90
of 33.06 hours and 49.10 hours
with concentrations of ethanol extract granules papaya
seeds 10 ppm.It can be concluded that extract
granules papaya seeds has insectisidal effect on Aedes aegypti larvae
mortality.
