Dengue Hemmorhagic Fever
is a disease transmitted through the bite of A. aegypti females containing
dengue virus in mosquito body. Today's effort emphasis on the use of chemical insecticides, whereas
chemical insecticides can have a negative impact. Based on that problem, one of
alternative by biological control using ethanol leaf extract granules chinaberry
(Melia azedarach L.). Chinaberry leaves (Melia azedarach L.) were used in the
study expressed insecticidal properties due to produce secondary metabolites
that triterpenoids and flavonoids. Serial concentrations of ethanol extract of
leaves of shade-tree granules used in this study was 5 ppm, 25 ppm, 250 ppm,
2500 ppm, 3000 ppm and performed in 3 replications. Each treatment used 20 test
larvae. Larva used as a test is the final larval instar III and early IV. the
data obtained by the Aedes aegypti larvae mortality at 12 hours, 24 hours, 36
hours, and 48 hours. Data analysis using probit analysis. Based on the research
and analysis of the data obtained it can be concluded LC50 24 hours
and 48 hours was 55.652 ppm and 400.209 ppm. LC90 24 hours and 48
hours was 13.103 ppm and 29.910 ppm. LT50 and LT90 of
24.854 hours and 44,590 hours with concentrations of ethanol extract granules mindi leaf 25 ppm.
It can be concluded that ethanol leaf extract
granules chinaberry (Melia azedarach L.) has insectisidal effect on Aedes
aegypti larvae mortality
