Based on the previous research Double Loop Problem Solving (DLPS) model is able improve students’s thinking, listening, and speaking potential. The research objective were increasing students’s activity and achievement VIII A grade at state Junior High Scool (SMPN) 6 Jember on human respiration system. This research is a classroom action research. The learning process used two cycles which in the last of cycle done the post- test. The result of this research show that DLPS model increased students’s activity from 67% in the first cycle to 88% in second cycle. DLPS model increased the students’s cognitive and affektive achievement, where for cognitive result increased from 33,33% in pra-cycle increased to 61,11% of first cycle and increased to 89,99% of second cycle. The students’s achievement score increased from 70% in first cycle increased to 88% of second cycle, it can be concluded that the DLPS model can improve the student’s activities and students’s achievement for respiration system topic in Biology.
